Link Up Conference Announcement

Join us on Saturday, October 11, 2008 from 8am to 2pm at the George R. Brown Convention Center for the Third Annual Link Up Greater Houston Conference.

New this year….

1. FREE CONFERENCE FOR ALL (with pre-registration)
2. Keynote Speaker is Aric Bostick with a message on "Living Your Dreams."
3. Many Youth Performing Groups
4. Breakout sessions specifically for Middle School aged youth
5. Conference ends early at 2pm
6. Option to visit the newly completed Discovery Greens Park after the Conference

Parents, youth, civic leaders, school administrators and teachers, faith-based leaders are encouraged to attend the conference. The event will help attendees understand the 40 Developmental Assets, the tools children need to grow into successful adults.

The 40 Developmental Assets are a framework of the Search Institute, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide leadership, knowledge and resources to promote healthy children, youth and communities. The 40 assets are positive experiences and personal qualities that young people need to be healthy, caring and responsible, like family support, positive adult role models and self-esteem.
